Larry Cole

Larry Cole grew up in Granite Falls, Minnesota. He played 3 years of college football at the Air Force Academy and 1 year at the University of Hawaii. He later moved on to graduate from the University of Minnesota in 1970 with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 1968. He played 13 years for the Dallas Cowboys from 1968 - 1981. During his career he played in 26 playoff games, a record at the time, 8 Conference Championships games, 5 Super Bowls winning 2 of them. He started his own building company in 1973 while still playing football for another 8 more years. He specialized in custom homes and then in 1977 he became a Real Estate Developer. He developed over a 1,000 lots in Northeast Tarrant County. He served as President of the Fort Worth and Tarrant County Builders Association from 1993 - 1994. He became a Life Director of the National Association of Builders in 1995. He also did work for the Baptist Church Foundation building and remodeling sanctuaries, student centers, training centers and conference centers.

He retired from active building in March of 2021. He then spent the next three months writing a book about his life experience as a kid through the 13 years with the Dallas Cowboys. The name of the book is "Living the Dream on America's Team" and is available on the shop tab of the website. The book is also available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple iTunes and Google Play.
